Medical Imaging Digital Pathology

Medical imaging aims to identify and cure disease as well as disclose internal structures that are covered by the skin and bones. In order to detect anomalies, medical imaging also creates a database of typical anatomy and physiology.

In the clinical setting, radiology or “clinical imaging” are commonly used interchangeably with “invisible light” medical imaging. Digital video or still images that may be viewed without the use of special equipment are referred to as “visible light” medical imaging.

X-rays

An X-ray is a short, painless procedure that creates images of the inside body components, especially your bones. When an x-ray beam passes through your body, the quantity of absorption varies depending on the density of the material it passes through.

CT scan

A CT scan is a diagnostic imaging process that creates images of the inside of the body using a combination of X-rays and computer technologies. Any portion of the body, including the bones, muscles, fat, organs, and blood arteries, is shown in detail.

MRI

MRI is a method of medical imaging that produces precise pictures of your body’s organs and tissues using a magnetic field and radio waves produced by a computer.The majority of MRI equipment is made up of large, magnetised tubes.
